Sweet Tomatoes was a beloved healthy restaurant chain (known as Souplantation in California). Its self-serve buffet featured a variety of fresh salads and vegetables, rotating hot soups, and delicious seasonal baked goods. The restaurant was founded in San Diego in 1978 and grew to more than 100 locations across the US.
Sadly, in early 2020 the chain unexpectedly announced it would close all restaurants due to pandemic restrictions.
We’re still devastated.
Luckily, some of the chain’s best recipes were shared or cloned over the years, so we created this website to save and catalog as many as possible so we can enjoy these delicious dishes at home.
